November 2025 Workshop

Rosey Bourne will lead us in a Boro Sashiko Placemat Workshop.

Rosey is a textile artist and is an experienced sashiko stitcher who leads a sit and stitch club in Tillsonburg and belongs to the Stationhouse Quilters and Fibre Artists.

Rosey also creates functional, one-of-a-kind artistic accessories. She has always enjoyed hand stitching and is quite avid on reducing the impact on landfills by recycling. She includes salvaged and upcycled materials in her work to minimize the impact fabric production can have on the environment.

The workshop prepares participants to make four placemats. The finished size of each placemat is 13” x 15”.

Date: Tuesday, November 18, 2025, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Location: Vittoria District Community Centre. Doors open at 9:30 a.m.
