Rose Parr will tell us all about “Ergonomics in our Quilt Spaces”. Her idea of healthy quilting consists of two things: ergonomics and machine maintenance. Ergonomics allows us to work comfortably and efficiently. You are the most important piece of equipment in your sewing room.
Rose has been quilting for 30 years and doing personal training for more than 15. She is a professional longarm quilter and a regular contributor to Canadian Quilter Magazine. Her book “Sew Healthy & Happy, Smart Ergonomics, Stretches & More for Makers” is available from your favourite bookseller or local quilt shop.
She lives in Guelph with her husband and has four grown children.
Her website is full of many tips and ideas to help us protect our bodies and sew safely.
